About Courtney - Certified Pilates Instructor
I completed my pilates certification in the New York Classic Method in 1996.
I have experience teaching Hi Impact aerobics to weight training. Previous certifications were through ACE, AFAA, and ACSM.
Teaching exercise has also inspired me to stay fit. In the late 80's I started to experience Arthritis symptoms. The traditional exercises were sometimes to painful for days afterward, with the onset of Osteoarthritis. I started using pilates for myself for three months and felt such a difference in my posture and energy level and helped ease my back pain.
What I like about Pilates is:
- That quality of movement/form. You feel great and stand taller in a short amount of time.
- You never get bored with pilates
- also Pilates adds the Body and mind connection keeps my clients focused.
